Šupová, Jaroslava ; Laufková, Veronika (advisor) ; Straková, Jana (referee)
This bachelor's thesis addresses the subject of reading corners in nursery schools. Its objective is to describe four chosen reading corners, including the activities conducted within them, propose modifications that could enhance these corners, and highlight discoveries that may inspire other educators. The theoretical section provides an overview of the concept of preliteracy and presents information and recommendations on the establishment of reading corners, their placement, furnishings, and activities. The practical section adopts a qualitative research approach, specifically a descriptive multiple-case study, employing interviews with teachers and children, observations, and analysis of books and materials as data collection methods. Utilizing the gathered data, comprehensive descriptions of the reading corners in the four visited classrooms were developed, upon which suggestions for improving these areas were proposed, and exemplary instances of practice were emphasized. Although each classroom has its own distinct characteristics, it can be summarized that all reading corners are situated in a room corner, well-lit, and furnished with comfortable seating. Generally, books are stored with the spine facing outward and are only categorized based on whether the children can retrieve them...

Furthermore, the goal is to determine whether parents only use fairy tales passively or actively, and to investigate whether parents are aware of the influence of literature on children's development. Then, based on the answers obtained, create methodical material - a manual with suggested activities that parents could apply to (almost) any fairy tale and which supports better use of fairy tales in a family environment. With the help of this supportive material, parents would be able to work with fairy tales better and more efficiently, and thus would specifically support the development of pre- literacy in their children. Language development of child - basics of reading literacy
FEIKOVÁ, Eliška
This bachelor thesis is focused on the language development of a preschool child. The theoretical part deals with the development of speech, individual language levels, preschool children, and their education. It marginally mentions the topic of reading pre-literacy and literacy, which a child must develop at a preschool age, so it can build on the acquired skills later in the basic education of acquisition of initial reading and writing. The practical part includes a qualitative survey, which uses a diagnostic battery to determine the language level of children before the start of compulsory schooling. Subsequently, a program to support language and reading pre-literacy is implemented with ten respondents. The results show that if the language area not only develops naturally but also purposefully, the results in the child's speech improve. Children learn their language skills better and use the grammar of the particular language correctly.
